He was born in India and Ordained to Priesthood in 1982. He moved to Auckland in 2002. He served as assistant priest at St Joseph’s, Takapuna, then shifted to St Mark’s, Pakuranga as Parish Priest in 2007, then to East Coast Bay’s in 2015 as Parish Priest. He was appointed to Hibiscus Coast Parish from 1 February 2021. Parish Committees In the Hibiscus Coast Parish the Priest is responsible for 'priestly duties' and the parishioners have responsibility for a broad range of pastoral duties and activities. Our parish committees guide and assist more than 50 special interest groups. These committees are: Parish Pastoral Council: The Pastoral Council is concerned with Pastoral Policy. It’s role is to collaborate with the Parish Priest in helping to provide the support, resources and nourishment, whether spiritual or intellectual, that we need to fulfil our baptismal vocation to mission. Finance & Maintenance Committee: Primarily concerned with helping the parish priest in fulfilling the Mission Statement of the church in terms of resourcing, planning, accounting for, administering and safeguarding parish income, expenditure and assets. It is responsible for the maintenance of parish property and the planning and supervision of required building projects. Current members are: Fr Raphael Lobo John Jackson Carol Miers Greg Sequeira Liturgy: The Liturgy Committee has an overall responsibility to ensure the liturgies are planned and celebrated in the proper manner and that the worship needs of the parish are met. Care and Share: Contact the parish office – 426 5599 Safeguarding Team: Coordinates our parish safeguarding policies, practices and procedures, working to promote an environment of respect and safety in our parish community. An important aspect of safeguarding is responding to concerns of harm or abuse.
