Jesus tells us, 'ask, and you will receive; seek, and you will find; knock, and the door will be opened to you'. He preaches these words to the disciples soon after teaching them the Lord's Prayer.

Secular Franciscans are part of the Franciscan Movement. They are ordinary people who study the life of St. Francis of Assisi, and using his example, try and live a good and useful life. The Secular Franciscans invite everyone to meet with them and discern whether you are called by the Spirit of God to become an expression of the Gospel in the manner of St. Francis. The group meet third Sunday of the month at 3pm at St John's, Orewa, for a meeting which includes a time of study followed by a time of fraternity. Contact Shirley McGinley - 426 5253.
So I say to you: Ask and it will be given to you;
Seek and you will find; Knock and the door will be opened to you.
