LITURGY

Sacred Liturgy stands at the heart of the Catholic tradition. The Hibiscus Coast Catholic Community has a very active Liturgy Committee that ensures the liturgies are planned and celebrated in the proper manner, and the worship needs of the parish are met. Chairperson is Eileen Barrington and the Secretary is Monica Grimshaw.

Ministers of Communion:

Ministers of the Word

This very special ministry of proclaiming the Word of God has many of our parishioners involved. Training is provided including an annual renewal course. Weekly preparation is a prayerful must.
If parishioners would like to put their name forward for this ministry please contact the parish office.

Hospitality after Sunday Mass

We have the tradition of offering a cuppa after our Sunday Masses. An important time for people to chat, support and get to know one another. Volunteers are needed in both churches to support this important activity. Rosters: Theresa Fouche 426 5599.

Ministry of Welcome

Apart from welcoming people at the door, there is also the task of Mass coordinator, whose role also includes leading the congregation in the Prayer of the Faithful.
If parishioners would like to put their name forward for this ministry please contact the parish office.

Overhead projectionists

This vital ministry is handled by a few people in both churches. More volunteers are encouraged. Minimum training is necessary, so please indicate your willingness to: -

While they were eating, Jesus took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to his disciples saying, "Take and eat; this is my body." Then he took the cup, gave thanks and offered it to them saying, "Drink from it all of you. This is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins."
Matthew 26:26-28
